by: Marianne Theunissen, Chris Baaten “Yellow Fever” is a film about language, the visual language of a beautiful furnished house in which two ladies reside, as well as the language of their bodies. They throw with words, words that are not addressed to one of them in particular, instead they refer to the house and to the ongoing physical confrontation between the two ladies.
There is an awkwardness in this communication that has to do with the absence of a speaker or a listener.
