by: Aurélien Foucault, Cédric Quennesson In the city of Yunmeng, Qin Ligang’s Tea House ‘‘the Mengze Theatre’’ welcomes everyday a peculiar crowd. At first look, one could think it’s a retirement home.
A closer look would soon prove us wrong. Yes, they are all over 60.
They’re coming here to drink tea, chatter and play cards.
But what units them is the exceptional team of Qin Ligang and Teng Deqing and the incredible performance they are giving each and single day of the year from 11am to 2pm.
This is the best show of Shadow Play of the city. Actually, it’s the best show in the whole wide world if you believe some of their hardest fans.
This film is taking you there, with them. Let you share the magic of this ancient art!
Because it may not be there for you in ten years’time…
