It took 25 years before the US-government admitted that the former soldiers, Vietnam veterans, had been exposed to something that in many cases was going to kill them slowly: Agent orange - or a deadly high concentration of dioxine - one of the most dangerous environmental poisons ever existing. How many years will it take before the cover up around depleted uranium is dismantled? Depleted uranium munitions were used in great quantities in the first Gulf War. 203.000 out of originally 697.000 American Gulf War veterans from 1991 are ill, 11.000 have died.
